For over 20 years, our team has been providing authentic, engaging educational travel 'Beyond the postcard' for visitors from all over the world!
As retired teachers and outdoor educators, it was clear that experiential, hands-on learning for students of all ages- was the most exciting and engaging form of learning! In that light, we endeavor to provide the highest quality programs, curriculum, and program planning support to our guests. Our programs have exemplary safety standards, and our resource staff are verified and bonded to work with children.

You'll be working with award-winning outdoor educators and experienced guides to create the perfect Hawaiian experience for your group! We will customize STEM and STEAM integrated field topics for your students!
We can work with you to support your field study focus and develop content and curriculum for your class trip as well as provide experienced professional educational guides for all aspects of your visit to Hawai`i.
If you are planning a trip as an individual, family or small group and just want to be sure you 'see it all', we'd love to work with you to organize your trip and lodging, and guarantee that you'll be visiting some of the most interesting and beautiful sights in the islands! Hawai`i is so much more than you've ever imagined!
We work closely with our community. Meals in the field, learning resources, and many destinations and vendors are local small businesses or groups who want you to have the best experience possible!
Group Sample Program
A sample one-week educational program might include some of the following:
Day 1: Arrival and greeting into Hilo International Airport
Transfer to hotel, and Orientation
Day 2: Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park
Picnic lunch and dinner in the park, evening lava viewing if available
Day 3: Local Color- Might include `Imiloa Astronomical and Science Center,
Mokupa`papa Marine Sanctuary Center, Lyman House Museum,
Hilo Farmer's Market, Downtown tour, waterfall tour including Akaka
Falls and Rainbow Falls
Day 4: Hawaiian Culture with Our Kumu Hula, Hawaiian Kupuna, (Elders)
learning Hawaiian music, dance and crafts
Day 5: Hiking and birding on Mauna Kea then, spending an evening with the
stars - high upon Mauna Kea
Day 6: Marine Science reef exploration/labs and ocean recreation
Aloha Pa`ina, or farewell gathering
Day 7: Departure
Food, lodging, ground transportation, entrance and activity fees can be
customized to fit your budget.
